Section 362.1008. Doors, gates and turnstiles.

(1) Clear door openings for nonaccessible stalls. This is a department exception to the requirements in IBC section 1008.1.1: The clear door opening for a nonaccessible toilet stall, shower stall, or other similar compartment, may be less than 32-inches wide.

(2) Door arrangement. This is a department exception to the requirements in IBC section 1008.1.8: Where maneuvering space is provided between the doors in accordance with IBC section 1101.2 such that use by an individual in a wheelchair will not block the operation of the doors.
