Section 332.05. Inspections.

- (1) Right of entry to investigate or inspect. The authorized representatives of the department, upon presentation of the appropriate credentials to an employer, may perform any of the following activities:(a) Enter without delay and at reasonable times any building, place of employment or workplace of a public employer, or an environment where work is performed by an employee of an employer.(b) Inspect and investigate during regular working hours and at other reasonable times, and within reasonable limits and in a reasonable manner, any such place of employment and all pertinent conditions, structures, machines, apparatus, devices, equipment, and materials therein, and to question privately any employer or employee.(2) Inspections.(a) Inspections, including the request for inspections, shall be handled in accordance with s. 101.055 (5) , Stats.(b) Any orders resulting from an inspection shall be issued in accordance with s. 101.055 (6) , Stats.
