Section 322.41. Temperature control.

- (1) General. Each system shall be provided with an adjustable thermostat for the regulation of temperature.(2) Circulating hot water systems. Circulating hot water systems shall include an automatic or readily accessible manual switch to turn off the circulating pump when the system is not in use.(3) Mercury thermostats. The installation of thermostats containing mercury is prohibited.(4) Heat pump supplementary heat. Heat pumps having supplementary electric-resistance heat shall have controls that, except during defrost, prevent supplemental heat operation when the heat pump compressor can meet the heating load.
