Note
In assisting a municipality that has adopted or plans to adopt an alternate model fire code, Departmental staff typically will provide expertise relating only to NFPA 1 and this chapter, and should not be expected to be familiar with the alternate fire code and any local requirements needed to establish equivalency with NFPA 1 and this chapter. Creating that equivalency is the responsibility of that municipality, not the Department.
