Section 815.10. Closure of injection wells.

(1) All large-capacity cesspools shall be closed by no later than April 5, 2005 in a manner that is approved by the regulatory agency having jurisdiction.

(2) All existing wells that have been used for the disposal of a fluid containing a waste from motorized vehicle repair or maintenance activities shall be converted or closed by no later than January 1, 2005 in a manner that is approved by the department.

Note

With the approval of the United States environmental protection agency, the department may extend the deadline for conversion or closure of a well that has been used to dispose of a fluid containing a waste from motorized vehicle repair or maintenance activities to January 1, 2006.
