  Section 47.962. Definitions.

  •   In addition to definitions in s. NR 47.002 , the following definitions apply to this subchapter:
    (1)  "Invasive plant species" m eans a plant that is an invasive species.
    (2)  "Invasive species" has the m eaning given in s. NR 40.02 (24) .
    (3)  "Invento r y " includes surv e y ing and m apping for invasive plant oc c urrences.
    (4)  "Long term m anage m ent plan" includes a written prioritization plan for m anage m ent of invasive plants within a W MA.
    (5)  "Monitor" or " m onitoring" includes pos t - activi t y docu m entation of m anage m ent activi t y results using m ethods approved b y t he depart m ent.
    (6)  "Non-profit organizations" has the m eaning given in s. NR 47.82 (2 m ) .
    (7)  "Person" has the m eaning in s. 990.01 (26) , Stats.
    (8)  "Person participating" m eans a person who owns 500 acres or less of no n industrial private forest land in the state on which a practice or portion of a practice under the grant will be i m ple m ented.
    (9)  "Plant" has the m eaning in s. NR 40.02 (38) .
    (10)  "Practice" m eans an activity or conservation m easure intended to control invasive plant species.
    (11)  "Progra m " m eans the weed m anage m ent area private forest grant program authorized under s. 26.38 , Stats.
    (12)  "Prohibited invasive plant species" m eans a plant that is a prohibited invasive species.
    (13)  "Prohibited invasive species" or "prohibited species" has t h e m eaning given in s. NR 40.02 (41) .
    (14)  "Rapid response practice" m eans a practice to control or eradicate prohibited invasive plants and those invasive plants new to the state or to a region of the state as deter m ined b y the chief state forester.
    (15)  "Reforestation" has the m eaning given in s. NR 47.82 (5) .
    (16)  " W eed m anage m ent area" or " W MA" m eans a geographic unit defined b y a weed m anage m ent group.
    (17)  " W eed m anage m ent group" or " W MG" includes persons that are concerned about invasive plants wit h in a W MA.
