Section 440.09. Enforcement; penalties.

(1) If the department has reason to believe that a violation of this chapter has occurred, it may proceed under s. 285.83 , Stats.

(2) Any person who violates any provision of this chapter is subject to the penalties provided under s. 285.87 , Stats.
