Section 145.22. Treatment guidelines.

  • Nationally recognized guidelines, including the "Sexually Transmitted Diseases Treatment Guidelines, 2006" published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, shall be considered in the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases unless otherwise specified by the state epidemiologist. Specific medical treatment shall be prescribed by a physician or advanced practice nurse prescriber.
