Chapter 143. Hearing Impaired Children |
Section 143.01. Eligibility requirements for a hearing impaired child in need of amplification and services.

- (1) The child shall be under 21 years of age. Children over 16 years of age may be referred to vocational rehabilitation for services.(2) Diagnosis shall be established by a physician who is on the children with special health care needs (CSHCN) program list of participating physicians.(3) Further hearing assessment and hearing aid evaluation shall be completed by a clinical audiologist who is on the CSHCN program list of participating clinical audiologists.(4) Financial eligibility shall be determined by the latest standards as developed by the CSHCN program.
