The colors referred to in this regulation are the colors developed by the Eastern Research Laboratory of the United States Department of Agriculture and are described in publication AIC-260, February, 1950, "Permanent glass color standards for maple syrup," Bureau of Agricultural and Industrial Chemistry, Agricultural Research Administration, United States Department of Agriculture.
