LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL STAFF

, relating to awards made to health care providers from the Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (“SAFE”) Fund for the costs in performing sexual assault forensic examinations.
In accordance with Wis. Stat. §§
227.14
(4m)
and
227.15
, the Department of Justice is submitting proposed rules to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse on August
5, 2015. The scope statement for these rules was approved by the Governor on September 25, 2014, published in the Administrative Register on October 15, 2014, and approved by the Attorney General on October 27, 2014.
The Department of Justice will hold public hearings regarding these rules at a date and time to be determined. The organizational unit of the Department of Justice that is responsible for the promulgation of these rules and their subject matter is the Department of Justice’s Office of Crime Victim Services.
