The objective is to update
the authority and intent section to reflect the change resulting from
2013 Act 114
. Section
441.07
was amended to give authority to the board to deny an initial license or certificate.

:
Currently the rules indicate that the intent of the rules of conduct chapter is to specify grounds for limiting, suspending, revoking or denying renewal of a license or certificate or for reprimanding a licensee or certificate holder. The proposed rule would include the denial of
a
initial license or certificate.

15.08(5)(b)
Each examining board: shall promulgate rules for its own guidance and for the guidance of the trade or profession to which it pertains and define and enforce professional conduct and unethical practices not inconsistent with the law relating to the particular trade or profession.

441.01(3)
The board may establish minimum standards for schools for professional nurses and schools for licensed practical nurses, including all related clinical units and facilities, and make and provide
periodic
surveys and consultations to such schools. It may also establish rules to prevent unauthorized persons from practicing professional nursing. It shall approve all rules for the administration of this chapter in accordance with
ch.
227
.
