On August 13, 2014, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule in final draft form to the chief clerk of the Senate and Assembly pursuant to s. 227.19 (2) , Stats. The rule revises Chapters NR 10 and 27 , relating to the addition of the Blanding's Turtle to the state protected wild animal list.

This rule was approved by the Governor on June 25, 2014, pursuant to s. 227.185 , Stats.
